About Twin Pines Studios

Background

I have been in this hobby for as long as I can remember. I started collecting models when, as funny as this sounds, I was born. My mother always had a love of horses, and she had bought me my first Breyer before I was born! It resides today in my personal collection of models. I am slowly entering the world of resins, which I find highly interesting and ALWAYS full of action. I haven't be customizing long, but my work is becoming very talented, so don't miss out! I also enjoy sculpting, and I find that I am not too shabby at resculpting models. I also make tack, such as Arab halters, and cinches with matching breastcollars.

What do I use?

I use a combo of acrylics and Aphacolor pastels to get the most realistic colorings as possible! All white markings are applied with a VERY thin and watery (for smoothness) acrylic paint.

What is the quality of my work?

Being newer to the world of customizing, my work has had yet a chance to enter the showrings. But, there are quite a few customs coming along that will help get a better definition of LSQ. My work has been critiqued by top artists such as Jenn Danza, and approved. I hope to get some models out soon to see how they prove in the showring.
